New Chanting Certificate Course
We are delighted to announce a new Module 1 of the Vedic Chanting Training Course with Sheela Shankar commencing in March 2026
This training, consisting of 3 modules over approximately 3 years, with supporting tutorials, is a thorough training in vedic chanting. This is ideal for students who want to develop their personal chanting to a high level and potentially teach others, although this isn’t specifically a teacher training course. The meaning and application of the chants is also discussed, and links made to the broader scope of Yoga wherever possible. This is so much more than just learning chanting, no one is left untouched by the experience!
Each module consists of 6 online weekend intensives (Sat and Sun mornings) which introduce new material, followed up with two small group online tutorials (3-4 students) after each weekend. There is also a live 5 day intensive with Sheela each year in July when she visits the UK: the icing on the cake and always an enriching and inspiring experience.
Students will be provided with all chanting material and reference recordings for all chants in modules 1 and 2 as personal practice support, accessible for the duration of the course.
At this stage you would only be committing to module 1, but we hope you would want to continue to complete the whole course!
This is not a complete beginner’s course, but if you are fairly new to chanting and yet are really keen, don’t let that put you off – enthusiasm and a willingness to practice are the main requirements!

Cost for module 1: £1345 before 30 Dec, £1395 thereafter
(payable as deposit of £245/£295 with a balance payment at course start. Staged payment can be arranged on an individual basis )
