Whispered Wisdom of Upanisads 2 - Further Study

The Whispered Wisdom of the Upanisads 2
The Taittiriya Upanisad

Following on from our first course on the upanisads, this course will present an in-depth study of the Taittiriya Upanisad, perhaps the most important for this tradition. We will explore the upanisad  from a traditional perspective, delve into vedanta (the philosophy that seeks to interpret the upanisads) and also see how it can apply more practically in the context of modern yoga practice.

The course is aimed at teachers and serious students, but the most important quality is some enthusiasm to engage with the topic and practice. The weekend will include a good balance of theory, yoga practice and chanting of the Taittiriya Upanisad, and so the weekends will  provide some practical inspiration for your asana and pranayama practice. In keeping with the focus of the upanisads a number of the practices will be particularly meditative in focus.

We ask students to commit to the 4 weekends. It is possible to attend single weekends, but priority will be given to students subscribing to the course and single weekends will incur a higher fee.

Timings for the weekend are 6-9pm Friday, 9.30-5.00pm Saturday, 9.30-4pm Sunday.
The Friday evenings are useful to "land" and connect with the course, and will include review, practice and introduction to the weekend, but are not essential to the integrity of the course.
