Why do this Course

The course is fully accredited with the British Wheel of Yoga ("a very good course in content… The teaching I saw was excellent.  The use of Sanskrit was exceptional… the course was well regarded by me" - BWY Verifier . Currently, this is also the only course recognised by the Association for Yoga Studies (aYs).

With the core faculty of Dave and Ranju this course offers a unique combination of expertise that provides a thorough grounding in the teachings of Krishnamacharya applicable to the modern teaching context, through a non-dogmatic and open approach.

Although this 2 year course is recognised as a full and complete training in teaching Yoga, Sadhana Mala also offers further follow-on training focussing on individual tuition and the application of Yoga as a therapy. This is fully integrated and consistent with this course, and, should students decide to continue with this, would provide a complete training exceeding a total of 750 hours. On completion of both courses you will become an aYs registered practitioner

Testimonials

"On my first night of group teaching .... was an overwhelming sense of security that I had been taught the skills and tools needed to be a professional and sincere teacher The outlay for the course can feel quite daunting but I have come to see it as a wise investment in my future. Dave and Ranju's partnership provides teaching which is grounded in years of study and practice, confidence and belief in the approach and tradition but also innovation to apply the teaching into a current dialogue. They are real and down to earth humorous but also with high expectations of our role as teachers" Marie, London
