St Nons Retreat 2018
2-4 Mar 2018
A weekend retreat at St Nons, Pembrokeshire.
Klesa are described in the Yoga Sutra as psychological patterns and forces that cause us distress and, according to the philosophy of Yoga, are based on a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of ourselves and our relationship to the world. Peter Hersnack suggested that it is possible to locate these forces as patterns and relationships within the body, and furthermore, by working on such key areas, to change our experience of the klesa. This retreat will explore this idea of locating the klesa in the body and how to work creatively with these forces through asana and pranayama.
St Nons is a retreat centre set on the stunning Pembrokeshire coast (see photos). There is a choice of single (6) and twin rooms (5). Food is home made and vegetarian; we are always made to feel warm and welcome by Sisters Anna and Bridget who live at the centre. This retreat promises to take you away from the world deep into a space of contemplation, breath & body awareness and profound stillness.
